With more than ten years with The Shaw Group, mostly recently as the Store Manager of the Shaw Brick in Sydney, Dave Fedora has decided to retire at the end of November of this year.
Dave has been instrumental in helping to grow the business in Sydney, as well as throughout Cape Breton Island. Under his leadership, the annual sales of the Sydney store have more than doubled over the last seven years. Along with Jason Groves, he was instrumental in adding Precast products to the brick store assortment, which has helped drive both collaboration and sales. Additionally, he played a significant part in developing his team and providing great customer service to all who have frequented the store.
Dave has been a great asset to our team and someone that I have come to rely on for his perspective and experience. He will be sorely missed but we wish him all the best in his retirement.

In a corresponding move, I am very pleased to announce Dave’s successor, Sheila Chopeck, who will take on the Store Manager role effective immediately. Currently the lead CSR in the Sydney store, Sheila has been with The Shaw Group for more than nine years and has over 25 years of retail experience.
Sheila brings a wealth of knowledge and customer service experience to the role. I am confident that she will continue to build on the recent success of the store, while leaving her own mark in the process.
We are working to finalize a transition plan where Sheila will work alongside Dave up until his retirement.
