Organizational Announcement -Shaun Fitzgerald

We are pleased to announce that Shaun Fitzgerald has moved into the role of Accountant, for the Manufacturing Division, effective immediately. Shaun will now be based out of the Lantz office and will support the manufacturing divisions, reporting directly to Christine MacNeil, Divisional Controller.

Shaun joined Shaw Brick in October of 2016, that fiscal year the Shaw Brick stores had sales of just over $10M. During Shaun’s tenure he has been an integral part of the team that has seen sales grow to over $18M, and contribution grow year over year. Shaun brought with him an understanding of retail and operations and implemented many processes that has allowed us to be more successful throughout our 5 retail stores. Shaun has also been a key contributor in the growth of our allied lines working tirelessly to seek out new opportunities which now represents 45% of our overall sales volume. Shaun will certainly be missed by the team for his leadership and guidance over the past 8 years however we look forward to his contributions in his new role. While changing positions mid career is no easy task, Shaun has embraced both the schooling, as he has been working towards his CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant Designation) over the last three years, and the new role and opportunities that it presents. There is no doubt his experience within the Shaw Group in his previous role will serve as a foundation in his new role.
