Covid Update - Lifting of Restrictions

Updated: Mar 22, 2022

Two years ago when the COVID-19 pandemic started and we sent out our first communication to our employees, we had no idea it would continue on for two years. Throughout these last two years, each of you have played a very important role in keeping yourself, each other and our communities as safe as possible and we are very thankful for your diligence. As we continue to work towards living with COVID-19 in our communities and align ourselves with the provincial public health guidelines as much as possible, we are pleased to announce the following upcoming changes to our COVID protocols and restrictions.

Effective Monday March 21, 2022 all COVID restrictions and protocols currently in place will be lifted, with the exception of the following;

 For now, employees will be required to continue to wear masks in public areas and in circumstances where social distancing is not possible. We do plan to remove the mandatory mask requirement when cases and community spread slow down. We will continue to monitor and assess this over the coming weeks.

 Positive cases are to continue to be reported to Human Resources so that we can monitor and track covid cases across the organization.

 If an employee develops symptoms, they are required to complete a rapid test prior to coming to the workplace. If test results are positive, employees are asked to remain out of the workplace until they are feeling well. A limited number of COVID tests will be available in each location for these purposes.

We do want to remind all employees that if we do see an increase in cases in any area, we may need to temporarily re-instate protocols to ensure the safety of our people and the continued operations of our business.

We are so pleased that we are in a place to lift these restrictions but continue to encourage all employees to self monitor and test for COVID when necessary. Thank you again for your continued diligence as we worked through this together! Jennifer Mullin Director of Human Resources
