Barry Gallant Retirement

After a 38-year career with The Shaw Group, we would like to announce today that Barry Gallant will be retiring at the end of January 2024. We sincerely want to thank Barry for his long-standing dedication to the company.

Originally hired as Sales Representative – Nova Scotia in 1986, his background with a degree in drafting and design made him a natural fit for the position – long before any AutoCAD or Revit 3D programs were available, and when all Shaw Pipe product designs and drawings for both customers and manufacturing were created by hand! Since that time the majority of Barry’s career has since been focused in the Moncton region, in the position of Regional Manager NB/PEI – Precast. Primarily responsible for technical sales and servicing our customers, but also during this time worked very closely with the manufacturing team at the Shaw Pipe plant on Gorge Road where concrete pipe and manholes were manufactured until 2002.

Barry’s high level of customer understanding, and his strong commitment to both our customers and our industry over this time is commendable. His 38 years of experience, extensive product knowledge, and market understanding will surely be missed. Congratulations on your retirement Barry, and all the years of work you put into getting here. We all wish you the best and hope you enjoy every moment of this new life stage.
