Covid-19 Update (Nova Scotia)

Beginning on Wednesday July 6, 2022, Nova Scotia will remove the remaining COVID restrictions and no longer mandate an isolation period for positive cases of COVID. The province continues to recommend that people stay home if they have COVID related symptoms or wear a mask in public places if they must go out.

Effective Wednesday July 6, 2022, we will no longer require employees who test positive for COVID to remain out of the workplace for the full 7-day isolation period. Employees can return to work once they are feeling well. We will however maintain the following protocols:

 All positive COVID cases should continue to be reported to Human Resources confidentially, so we can continue to track trends and assess the level of risk in our workplaces.

 Employees who have COVID symptoms should remain out of the workplace until they are feeling well.

 Masks should still be worn in any situation in which an employee is at work and has symptoms that could be potentially related to COVID-19.

Masks and COVID rapid tests continue to be made available to all employees in the event you need them.

We also encourage employees to keep updated on vaccine availability. The 4th booster is now available to specific age groups across the provinces. If you have any questions or need assistance with booking a vaccination appointment, please do not hesitate to reach out to the HR department.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Manager or HR.
