2022 has been a tough year for all of us with increasing costs for our everyday needs; now is the time to give back. As you know, The Shaw Group has been supporting The United Way for well over 50 years and have raised over $2 million to help support our communities. Just last year we collectively raised $110,000 for United Way, Our House in Shelburne & Jacquet River Food Bank in Belledune.
Thank you all for your generous support. This past year we have taken part in three Building Together Days: 1. Firepit build at The Marguerite Centre in Timberlea, Nova Scotia 2. Firepit build in Pictou Landing First Nation in conjunction with the RCMP 3. Pizza oven build at the Akoma Centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia We will continue to look for opportunities to help builda sense of community at organizations that provide services especially around housing and social isolation. The need for help in our communities with so many people being impacted by homelessness, food insecurity, domestic violence, social isolation, and mental health issues continues to grow dramatically. We are continuing to engage all of our divisions and employees to get involved in giving back to the communities in which we work, live, and play. All payroll deductions will be through the UW Forms which will be distributed by your CampaignCoordinators in the next week. The Shaw Group will match all employee donationsmade via payrolldeductions up to $30,000. There will be a prize draw on January 13, 2023 for anyone who donates through payroll deductions:

Our Campaign Coordinators will be working hard to get you involved in this year’s campaign and will be planning some great fundraising events and Building Together Days that we hope you will all take part in.
