Good morning, As you all are aware, we have several employees currently affected by evacuation orders for the Wildfires in Nova Scotia, from Shelburne to HRM. Our hearts and thoughts go out to these employees during this extremely stressful time.
A couple of employees suggested that I send out a “get prepared” Safety Alert that could be beneficial to any other employees that might have to evacuate with short notice in the near future. (Thanks Donnie and Trudy).
Please read the below document as there are some useful tips to help prepare, it includes an “items go gather” and “things to do” section. In a nutshell the 5P’s of emergency or disaster evacuation if time permits are: People, Pets, Prescriptions, Photos, and Papers.
