Good morning, thank you for taking a moment of silence yesterday to honor those that have died or suffered a serious workplace injury or illness for the recognition of the National Day of Mourning.
Now it is time to turn our focus to renewing and enhancing our commitment to safety going forward. Next week starting on Monday, we will be celebrating North American Occupational Safety & Health week. The safety team has been working hard planning activities and events to acknowledge NAOSH week.
Like last year, I will be emailing out a daily safety message for each of the 5 days of NAOSH that I hope you will find interesting and educational. I am asking that these be read and shared in daily toolboxes where applicable. There will be other events happening during the week where safety promotional products will be given out and safety messaging shared.
Just another FYI: The Canadian Center for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS -Canada’s national OH&S authority) is sponsoring 1 hr. safety online webinars throughout the week which are free to register for if your time allows on lunch breaks.
